Paul Kirsch has a diverse range of work experience in various industries. Paul began their career in 2007 as a Bookseller at Barnes & Noble, where they worked until 2011. From 2011 to 2015, they worked as an Account Manager at Edmunds.com, managing online advertising for car dealerships.

In 2014, they joinedObsidian Entertainment as a Contract Writer, where they contributed to the creation of the Pillars of Eternity Guidebook, Vol. 1, World Almanac, and Player's Manual. Paul then transitioned into the role of Narrative Designer, responsible for writing branching conversations in video games for PC and console. Paul'swork focused on creating storylines with choice and consequence, reactivity, and unexpected revelations, and they wrote from the player's perspective to anticipate and react to various roleplay options.

Paul Kirsch's education history begins with their studies at Concord High School from 1999 to 2003. Following their high school graduation, they went on to attend the University of Redlands from 2003 to 2007. There, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) with a major in Creative Writing. Continuing their academic journey, Paul attended the University of Southern Maine from 2009 to 2011. Paul earned a Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) degree with a specialization in Popular Fiction.
