Obvion
Bas Braakhuis is a seasoned financial professional with diverse experience in risk management, controlling, and academia. Currently serving as a Financial Risk Manager at Obvion since November 2019, Bas previously held the position of Chairman of the Audit Committee for South Limburg at Gemeente Valkenburg aan de Geul from October 2016 to October 2020. A lecturer at Maastricht University's School of Business and Economics between September 2015 and November 2019, Bas focused on Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Internal Control, and Corporate Governance. Prior roles include Business Controller at Rabobank Nederland and Senior Controller at Rabobank Amsterdam, with earlier positions at KAS BANK N.V. as part of the relationship management and global custody teams. Bas holds multiple degrees from Erasmus University Rotterdam, the University of Amsterdam, and KU Leuven, with a strong foundation in business economics and control.
