Herbert Narvaez-Vazquez

Herbert Narvaez-Vazquez has a strong background in information technology and program management. Herbert has worked for various companies, including OBXtek, FreeAlliance.com LLC, and Rapier Solutions, Inc.

At OBXtek, they served as a Senior Acquisition Program Analyst starting in 2023.

Prior to that, they worked as an Information Technology Program Manager at FreeAlliance.com LLC from March 2023 to June 2023.

From 2022 to 2023, Herbert worked at Rapier Solutions, Inc. as an Information Technology Program Manager. In this role, they supervised a 10-member team, provided IT support to over 600 employees across multiple states, and managed a budget of $1 million.

Before that, they were a Senior Acquisition Program Analyst at OBXtek from 2019 to 2022, where they supported various Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems offices in the procurement and product support of information dominance programs.

Herbert also has extensive experience with the U.S. Coast Guard. Herbert served as the Workforce and Facility Management Division Chief at the U.S. Coast Guard C4IT Service Center from 2016 to 2019, where they played a key role in providing IT support for Hurricane Maria relief efforts. Prior to that, they were the Information Resources Management Branch Chief at the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center Yorktown from 2013 to 2016.

Herbert also held positions at the U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters Deputy Commandant for Operations (DCO), the United States Coast Guard Command, Control, and Communications Engineering Center, the United States Coast Guard Telecommunication and Information Systems Command (TISCOM), and the United States Coast Guard Electronic Systems Support Unit Portsmouth.

Throughout their career, Herbert has demonstrated their expertise in managing IT projects, ensuring the smooth operation of systems, and coordinating and training team members.

Herbert Narvaez-Vazquez studied at ECPI University from 2006 to 2008, where they obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree with a focus on Network Security and Management. Prior to that, they attended the University of Puerto Rico-Bayamon from 1991 to 1997 and earned a degree in Computer Science, specializing in Computer Programming/Programmer, General.

In addition to their formal education, Herbert Narvaez-Vazquez has obtained the CompTIA Security+ certification from CompTIA in December 2015.
