Max Hernandez has a wealth of experience in the field of information technology and security. Max began their career in 1989 as an Information Technology Staff Officer in the United States Air Force, where they served until 1995. From there, they joined the United States Department of Defense as the Deputy Director of Reserve Office Systems, a position they held in 1994 and 1995.
In 1997, Max transitioned to CACI International Inc, where they worked as an IT Program Manager for five years, until 2002. Following this, they joined Loch Harbour Group in 2004 as a Senior Information Assurance Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for designing and documenting classified and unclassified IT systems, ensuring compliance with DIACAP and NIST controls, and meeting FISMA reporting requirements. Max continued in this position until at least 2010.

Max Hernandez obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, with a focus on Math and Music, from Southwest Tex College from 1970 to 1973. Following that, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Quantitative Methods from the University of Missouri-Columbia between 1975 and 1978.
