Sharif Koonce's work experience includes roles at different companies. Sharif started working as a Program Assistant at the National Center for Security and Preparedness in February 2016. In April 2018, they joined GCC Technologies LLC as a Case Analyst until December 2019. Then, in January 2020, they became a Junior Imagery Analyst at ECS, and in June 2020, they started working as an Investigative Case Management Analyst at OBXtek.
Sharif Koonce began their education in the year 2013, attending the University of Lynchburg for a period of two years. During their time there, they focused their studies on International Relations, specifically exploring the Developing World, as well as Economics with a general emphasis. After completing their studies at the University of Lynchburg, Sharif transferred to the University at Albany, SUNY in 2015. Sharif spent the next two years at the University at Albany, SUNY, where they pursued a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Political Science with a specialization in Globalization, as well as Economics. Alongside their formal education, Sharif also obtained several certifications from FEMA in 2016. These certifications include Active Shooter: What Can You Do?, Decision Making and Problem Solving, Introduction to Incident Command System, National Incident Management System (NIMS) An Introduction, and Social Media in Emergency Management.
