Markus Tacke

Markus Tacke is the Chief Executive Officer of Oerlikon Surface Solutions since October 2020, leading efforts in engineered surface, material, and component solutions globally. Previously, Tacke held CEO positions at Siemens Gamesa from May 2017 to June 2020 and at Siemens Wind Power and Renewables Division from August 2013 to May 2017. Additional roles within Siemens included CEO of Siemens Industrial Power from October 2009 to July 2013 and various leadership positions in Siemens AG Power Generation from January 1999 to September 2009. Tacke's educational background includes a Dr.Ing. in Combustion Technology from Technische Universität Darmstadt, an M.Eng. from Cornell University, and a Dipl.-Ing. in Maschinenbau from Technische Universität Darmstadt.
