Patrick Zhang

Patrick Zhang has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Patrick started their career as a Software Analyst/Developer at Radius Solutions in 2007. In 2008, they joined Smart Human Logistics Plc. as a Software Developer. Patrick then moved to Ocado in 2009, where they worked as a Software Engineer until 2014. Patrick returned to Ocado in 2014 and held various roles including Senior Software Engineer, Project Lead of AV Data Collection, Analytics Engineering Team Lead, and Data Engineering Team Lead. Their most recent position is as the Data Engineering Team Lead at Ocado Technology.

Patrick Zhang received their doctoral degree (PhD.) in Software Maintenance and Reengineering from De Montfort University from 2002 to 2006. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Software System Architecture from Jilin University from 1999 to 2002. Patrick also holds a Bachelor of Science degree (1st Class Hons) in Computer Science from Jilin University, which they earned from 1995 to 1999. In addition to their formal education, Patrick has obtained several certifications including Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer, Certified Scrum Master, and various Microsoft certifications. Patrick has also completed several trainings and courses on topics such as Docker Operations, Continuous Delivery and Zero Downtime, and Clean Code.
