Haikal Cheong

Haikal Cheong is an Assistant Vice President and Data Scientist in Credit Risk at OCBC, where responsibilities include end-to-end credit risk machine learning model development, implementation, and monitoring, as well as managing large transaction data and ensuring model fairness and transparency. Prior experience includes roles as a Manager and Assistant Manager in Group Risk Management, and a Teaching Assistant at the National University of Singapore, contributing to the development of course content and conducting tutorials. Additional experience includes a reinsurance internship at Aon and a Human Capital internship at EY, where exemplary performance earned an 'A' grade. Haikal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Monetary and Financial Economics from the National University of Singapore and a diploma in Human Resources Management with Psychology from Singapore Polytechnic.
