Mayra Arellano

Mayra Arellano, CPA, currently serves as Associate Principal in Corporate Risk GRC at OCC, a position held since February 2020. Previously, Mayra was a Senior Auditor at Tribune Media from October 2018 to November 2019, where responsibilities included auditing financial statements, planning activities, and supervising interns. Prior experience includes a role as an Internal Audit and Financial Advisory Senior Consultant at Protiviti, where Mayra executed diverse projects, led client engagements, and developed tools for monitoring project budgets. Additional experience as an Accountant at Dwell DeKalb and a Financial Accountant at Caterpillar Inc. provided strong foundations in financial management and process improvement. Mayra’s educational background includes a Master’s degree in Accounting and two undergraduate degrees from Northern Illinois University and Illinois Valley Community College.
