Nate Marcus has extensive experience in the experiential consumer industry. In 2017, they founded and served as CEO of OccasionGenius, a multi-award-winning, leading premium personalized event discovery technology. In 2020, they co-founded and became President of Verdata. From 2014 to 2017, Nate was the Founder and CEO of PartyRVA, a private events marketplace that scaled to multiple markets in the US. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as a Corporate Group Facilitator for multiple companies. From 2010 to 2012, Nate was a Group Facilitator and Leader for Where There Be Dragons. From 2007 to 2010, they were a Group Facilitator and Leader for Carpe Diem International Education. From 2005 to 2007, they were a Group Experience Leader for Putney Student Travel - National Geographic Student Expeditions. Finally, from 2005 to 2006, they were a Group Facilitator and Leader for LEAPNOW: Transforming Education.

Nate Marcus obtained their Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Middlebury College in 2004. In 2011-2012, they attended the Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts, where they earned a Chef's Certificate. In 2015, they participated in the Lighthouse Labs RVA Accelerator program, which focused on Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies. In 2016, they participated in the DC I-Corps Regional Training Program, which focused on Customer Discovery.
