Matthew Struemph has a diverse work experience at OCCI. Matthew started as an Engineering Intern in 2008 and later became a Project Engineer, overseeing onsite work and collaborating with superintendents. Matthew then worked as an Assistant Project Manager, where they tracked project finances and managed subcontractors. Afterwards, they served as a Quality Control Manager, updating and maintaining quality control systems in a fabrication facility. Currently, they hold the role of Project Manager, Chief Estimator, and Design Engineer, developing cost estimates, designing temporary works, and maintaining estimating systems.
Matthew Struemph earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla, where they attended from 2008 to 2011. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications including a Professional Engineer (PE) certification from the State of Missouri in June 2015 and a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification from the American Welding Society in January 2013.

OCCI, Inc. has extensive experience in marine and heavy construction over the past twenty years. Our primary focus has been lock and dam rehabilitation along with complex steel repair and bridge construction. OCCI's broad experience enables us to perform the majority of the project work items in-house with the exception of highly specialized items that are naturally subcontracted out to firms with the appropriate expertise. OCCI has made a consistent effort to partner with our subcontractors and suppliers, and develop strong working relationships that often continue from one project to the next. OCCI's depth as a general contractor is further enhanced with in-house steel fabrication. Missouri Fabricators as a division of OCCI, Inc. is AISC certified for major bridges and is fracture critical/sophisticated paint endorsed. This asset of the OCCI family affords us the ability to fabricate all structural components for a project and be guaranteed of delivery to meet our demanding schedules.
