Caroline Heldman

Caroline Heldman is a seasoned academic and leader with extensive experience in higher education and nonprofit sectors. Currently serving as a Professor and Department Chair at Occidental College since August 2006, Heldman also holds significant roles such as Executive Director of The Representation Project, Chairman of the Board at The Alturas Institute, and President of the Board of Directors at The TEP Center, the first Civil Rights museum in New Orleans. Previously, Heldman was the Vice President of Research & Insights at the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media and has held academic positions at Whittier College and Rutgers University. Heldman earned a Ph.D. in Political Science and Government from Rutgers University and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Washington State University, supplemented by a certificate in Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management from Harvard Business School.
