John Phillips

John Phillips is a seasoned chemist with extensive experience in academia and industry. Currently serving as a Visiting Assistant Professor and NTT Assistant Professor at Occidental College since January 2012, John teaches Organic and General chemistry classes. Previously, John held positions as a Scientist in Chemistry at Terray Therapeutics and as a Manager and Research Chemist at Materia, where a variety of research and analytical tasks were completed. John has also worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Michigan, investigating nickel-catalyzed reactions, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the California Institute of Technology, focusing on synthetic processes. John obtained a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley.
