Nick Velkavrh

Nick Velkavrh serves as the Director of Collections, Systems, and Services at Occidental College since March 2023, previously holding the role of Assistant Director in the same department. Concurrently, Nick works as a Library Systems Consultant for Whittier College, having held various positions there since August 2011, including Associate Library Director and Systems Librarian. Throughout this career, Nick has coordinated library operations, developed policies, managed budgets, and ensured the effective functioning of various library systems. Experience spans product engineering at Boopsie, Inc., and roles as a Graduate Student Assistant and Library Intern at San Jose State University and Occidental College, respectively. Nick holds a Master of Library & Information Science from San José State University and a B.A. in History from Occidental College.
