Justo Otaegui

Justo Otaegui is an experienced reservoir engineer currently serving as the Reservoir Management Team Lead at Oxy, with a focus on enhanced oil recovery (EOR) in the South Plains and Odessa Assets since 2021 and 2018, respectively. Otaegui's extensive career at Oxy began in 2013, covering various roles including reservoir engineer in multiple units across different reservoir management teams. Prior to Oxy, Otaegui gained experience at Pluspetrol and Sinopec Argentina Exploration and Production, focusing on waterflooding projects, reservoir characterization, and production optimization. Otaegui began professional development as a reservoir engineering technician and environmental engineering researcher, contributing to studies on TiO2 nanoparticles and arsenic removal from contaminated water. Otaegui holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires.
