Peter Barten

Peter Barten is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in operational data management and analytics within the energy sector. Currently serving as the Manager of Operational Data for Oxy's Low Carbon Ventures, Peter has played a pivotal role in designing and implementing the data and digital foundation for low carbon initiatives. Previously, Peter held various leadership positions at ConocoPhillips, including Director of Operations Data Analytics, leading global initiatives in advanced analytics, and overseeing significant data projects in the Gulf Coast and L48 business units. Peter's career began at Burlington Resources, where notable contributions included leading data management teams and developing operational data warehouses. Peter holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Physics and Math from Hardin-Simmons University.
