Salman Rashid

Salman Rashid has over two decades of experience in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as the Director of Oil and Gas Subsurface Systems at Oxy since January 2006, where leadership of a skilled Information Technology Team focusing on Geological, Geophysical, and Reservoir Engineering Applications is emphasized. Previously, Salman held positions at Oxy as IT Manager for Petrotechnical and Geosciences Systems and Applications Team Lead, providing support for E&P, well automation, and implementing data best practices. Prior experience includes serving as a G&G Consultant at Landmark Graphics Halliburton, managing onsite consulting and software support from January 2001 to December 2005, and working as a Geophysicist at Hunt Oil Company from July 1996 to January 2001, focusing on seismic interpretation and prospect generation. Salman holds a Master's degree in Geophysics from Quaid-e-Azam University, completed between 1994 and 1996.
