Austin Robello

Austin Robello is currently a Senior Solutions Consultant at Occupier. Prior to that, they were Controller at Solutions 2 GO Inc. from May 2021 to April 2022. Austin has also worked as an Audit Manager at Grant Thornton LLP from October 2016 to May 2021.

As Audit Manager, Austin was responsible for managing an array of audit engagements for a number of publicly-listed and large private companies, primarily in the software, asset management, manufacturing and mining industries. Client revenues span up to $500 million. Austin has experience with many accounting frameworks, with a focus on both IFRS and US GAAP.

Austin has performed various accounting advisory services such as: complex accounting consulting (such as consulting on how to account for alternative financing arrangements in the mining industry), technical accounting memo preparation, new standards implementation/transition (IFRS 9, IFRS 15, IFRS 16 as well as ASC 842 and ASC 606), accounting framework conversions (i.e. IFRS to US GAAP), system conversions, business combinations and due diligence. Austin also has experience auditing all of the aforementioned.

Austin Robello has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the Lazaridis School of Business & Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University. Austin is also a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) in Canada.
