Sylvain Babineau

Sylvain Babineau is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in marine operations and hydrography. Currently serving as the Director of Operations and Director of the Suction Dredging Division at Groupe Océan since January 2012, Sylvain oversees all operations related to suction dredging and the Hydrographic Survey department. In addition to involvement in practical operations, Sylvain teaches hydrography at Université Laval, contributing to academic programs in geomatics. Previous roles include Marine Construction Superintendent at Hatch, Deputy General Manager at Dragage Verreault Inc., and various positions at VERREAULT NAVIGATION INC and Hydrographic Service Canada, among others. Sylvain holds a Master's degree in Geodetic Science and Marine Hydrography and a Bachelor's degree in Geomatic from Université Laval, along with a college diploma in Navigation from Institut Maritime du Québec.
