Shawn Jones has an extensive law enforcement career at the Ocean City Police Department, serving since April 1998 and currently holding the position of Captain and Commander of the Criminal Investigation Division. Previous roles include Lieutenant, where duties encompassed Assistant Commander of the Criminal Investigation Division and Defensive Tactics Coordinator, as well as various leadership positions within the Quick Response Team. Shawn has also held the rank of Sergeant, overseeing patrol operations, and Corporal as a Patrol Supervisor. In addition to serving as a Police Detective in specialized units, Shawn contributed to the Ocean City FOP Lodge 10, serving as President and Immediate Past President. Educational achievements include attending the FBI National Academy in 2022 and earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Towson University in 1997.
