Adriana Lacerda

Vice President Operations at Ocean Conservancy

Adriana Lacerda has held various managerial positions throughout their career. Adriana currently serves as the Vice President of Operations at Ocean Conservancy since 2022. Prior to that, they were the Director of Strategy, Finance, and Operations at Atlantic Council from 2021 to 2022. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as the Director of People and Finance at The Nature Conservancy, where they focused on organizational culture and diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice.

Before joining The Nature Conservancy, Adriana was the Director of Operations at Freedman Consulting, LLC from 2016 to 2018, overseeing contracts, payroll, and office management. Adriana also served as the Senior Administrative Officer at ICF International from 2015 to 2016, managing project budgets and subcontracting.

In their earlier career, Adriana held various finance-related roles at the American Council on Education and the Forum for Youth Investment. Adriana started their career as the Deputy Clerk of Court/County Clerk at the Poder Judiciário do Rio Grande do Sul. At Forum for Youth Investment, they played a crucial role in financial management, budgeting, and contract management. Finally, from 2005 to 2009, they served as the Operations Manager at World Resources Institute.

Adriana Lacerda has a diverse education history. Adriana holds a Bachelor of Law, Social and Juridical Sciences from Universidade de Passo Fundo. Additionally, they have pursued further education by obtaining a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Management and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Maryland Global Campus.

In addition to their academic degrees, Adriana Lacerda has also obtained additional certifications. These include a certification in Federal Grants Management, Pass-Through Track from Management Concepts, Inc., and a Graduate Certificate in Procurement and Contracts Management from the University of Maryland University College.
