Nicholas Mallos serves as the Vice President of Conservation for Ocean Conservancy, focusing on ocean plastics and overseeing initiatives such as the International Coastal Cleanup and the Trash Free Seas Alliance®. With extensive experience in marine debris research, Nicholas has collaborated with leading scientists to assess the impact of marine debris on ocean ecosystems. Previous roles include Senior Director and Director of the Trash Free Seas Program, and Marine Debris Specialist, all contributing to advancing the scientific discipline of marine debris. Nicholas also holds a position on the board of The Marine Debris Foundation and has experience in marine science education from a tenure at Sound to Sea. Educational credentials include a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Marine Science from Dickinson College.
