Sarah Hamang

Sarah Hamang has a diverse work experience spanning different organizations and roles. Sarah currently works at Ocean Conservancy as the Director of Development Operations, leading a team and overseeing operational services for the Development department. Prior to their current position, they served as the Deputy Director of Development Operations at Atlantic Council, where they worked on post-gift activities, compliance, and optimizing the use of Salesforce. Sarah also has experience with The Nature Conservancy, where they held various roles such as Development Operations Manager, Major Gifts Manager, and Events Coordinator. Sarah has also worked at Ivy Tech Community College as an Interim Grants Administrator, at United Way of Central Indiana as a Graduate Assistant for Major Gifts, and at Arthritis Foundation as an Intern for Special Events. Additionally, Sarah has experience in political campaigns, having served as the Campaign Manager for Representative Peggy Welch Re-Election Committee. Sarah holds a degree from Indiana University and has also worked as a Resource Mobilization Assistant at ANPPCAN Regional and as an Hourly Graduate Assistant at Indiana University Office of Career Services.

Sarah Hamang has a comprehensive educational background with a focus on philanthropic studies and nonprofit management. Sarah earned a Master of Arts in Philanthropic Studies and a Master of Public Affairs, both from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, spanning from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs, also at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs with a specialization in Nonprofit Management from 2008 to 2011.

In addition to their academic accomplishments, Sarah Hamang obtained a certification in CPR/AED/First Aid from the American Red Cross in March 2014.
