Cassie Runkel-Mechler

Cassie Runkel-Mechler is a seasoned librarian with extensive experience in youth and family services. Currently serving as Librarian 3 at The Ocean County Library since November 2014, Cassie leads a team dedicated to providing library services to children and caregivers, developing innovative programming for ages birth to 12. Previous roles include Librarian 2 positions focusing on youth services at the same library and Cherry Hill Public Library, where Cassie led outreach initiatives and collaborated with community organizations. Early career experience includes a Junior Library Assistant role at Piscataway Public Library and a Youth Services Intern position at Princeton Public Library. Cassie holds a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from Rutgers University, earned between 2011 and 2013.
