Allie McCarthy currently serves as the Director of Education at Groundwork San Diego - Chollas Creek, focusing on empowering low-income, minority students in STEAM fields through extended learning and career pathways. In addition, Allie is a Divemaster for Ocean Enterprises and has previously held teaching and instructional roles, including Marine Science Instructor at SEACAMP San Diego. Allie's educational background includes a Master of Marine and Environmental Affairs from the University of Washington and dual Bachelor's degrees in Marine Biology and Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Allie is also pursuing a Master of Education with a Single Subject Science Teaching Credential from National University.
