James Gass

James GASS has extensive experience in the fields of test engineering and systems applications, currently serving as Test and Systems Engineering Manager and Calibration Laboratory Manager at Ocean Insight since June 2018. GASS previously held the role of Senior Applications Engineer and Calibration Lab Manager, overseeing radiometric calibration of spectrometers. Prior experience includes working as a Senior Systems Applications Engineer at Labsphere, Inc., where responsibilities involved defining performance requirements for custom systems. GASS began their career at Ocean Insight in various engineering roles, contributing to testing methodologies and product development. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Applied Physics and a Master's in Physics from the University of South Florida.
