Alfred Mbawa

Alfred Mbawa is a seasoned operations specialist with extensive experience in the shipping and logistics industry. Currently serving as Head of Operations at Ocean Network Express since April 2018, Alfred has held various roles including Inland Operations Manager and Flow Planning Manager. Prior experience includes leadership positions at Mitsui OSK Lines Ltd as Regional Operations Team Leader and Cost Analyst, as well as significant roles at Maersk Line ranging from Cluster Finance Business Partner to Freight Revenue Controller. Alfred's early career includes accounting roles at FTS Accounting Services CC and Zimsafe Group, and foundational experience at Maersk Line. Alfred holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) cum laude from Stellenbosch Business School, an Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, and both an Honours and Bachelor of Accounting Science from the University of South Africa, alongside an AIBZ qualification from the Institute of Bankers of Zimbabwe.
