Ocean Plastics Leadership Network
Ahmed Tiamiyu serves as the Executive Director of Community Action Against Plastic Waste (CAPws), a grassroots movement promoting a toxic-free circular plastic economy across over 70 communities in 21 countries. In addition to this role, Ahmed holds positions on the Steering Committee of the PREVENT Waste Alliance and serves as an Ambassador for the Ocean Plastics Leadership Network, which aims to eliminate plastic pollution in oceans. As Co-Chair of the African Plastics Coalition and Co-Founder & CEO of Ecoxfood, Ahmed focuses on addressing challenges at the intersection of food, plastic, and climate. Contributions to the agricultural sector include scientific leadership at the US-African and European Business Group S.L. and advisory roles in various organizations committed to sustainable agricultural practices. Ahmed's educational background includes studies in Nature Education, Waste Management, and Circular Economy from esteemed institutions.
