Matthew Foote

Matthew Foote is an experienced maritime engineer with a career spanning over a decade, primarily focused on various engineering positions in the maritime industry. Currently serving as a First Engineer at Ocean Shipholdings Inc. since September 2021, Matthew has previously held multiple engineering roles at both American Maritime Officers and within various companies such as Crowley Maritime and TOTE Services, Inc. Notably, Matthew worked as a Senior Watch Officer on the TS Empire State VI during a brief tenure at the State University of New York Maritime College. Additionally, Matthew is an accomplished musician, performing Bari and Tenor Sax with the band 9 Mile Roots, specializing in roots rock reggae. Matthew holds a Bachelor's degree in General Engineering from the State University of New York Maritime College, earned between 2002 and 2007.
