Daan van Hoyweghen

Daan Van Hoyweghen is currently the Chief Financial Officer at OW Ocean Winds, a position held since May 2024. Prior to this, Daan had a significant tenure at ENGIE from October 2010 to May 2024, where key roles included Head of Acquisitions, Investments & Financial Advisory for the Global Business Unit Renewables, managing a team of over 50 financial advisors across multiple regions, and leading M&A, valuation, and project financing efforts. Daan also held positions focused on renewable energy and financial advisory in Europe and Latin America. Earlier experience includes roles at GDF Suez, where responsibilities encompassed portfolio management and trading, along with a consulting project during an MBA program with EDF. Daan's educational background includes an MBA from Collège des Ingénieurs, a Master's in Electrical Engineering from KU Leuven, an Executive Master Class in Corporate Finance from Vlerick Business School, and an ERASMUS program in Biomedical Engineering at ETH Zürich.
