Majid Hajibeigy

Majid Hajibeigy is the Founder and CEO of Canadian Pacifico Seaweeds, a company established in October 2018 that specializes in developing farm models and supporting small-scale farmers to enhance the coastal industry. As the largest supplier of BC kelp products, Majid leads climate change and conservation initiatives, including investments in Seaforestation in collaboration with Ocean Wise and spearheading land-based seaweed cultivation for bioremediation. In addition to this role, Majid serves as an Industry Partner at Ocean Wise and is actively involved with The University of British Columbia, contributing as an alumni member and mentor. Prior experience includes a Kelp Apprenticeship at Canadian Kelp Resources from September 2017 to March 2019. Majid holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Biology, focusing on Food & Environment, Ecology, and Land & Food Systems from The University of British Columbia, completed in 2018.
