Patrick Lamontagne

Patrick Lamontagne has a diverse range of work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Patrick is currently working at Ocean Wise as the Director of Youth, a position they have held since September 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Ocean Bridge Senior Manager at Ocean Wise from April 2022 to October 2023, and as the Ocean Bridge National Manager from April 2021 to April 2022.

Before joining Ocean Wise, Patrick worked at JA British Columbia as a Program Manager from August 2019 to April 2021. In this role, they organized and managed the delivery of educational programs, recruited and trained volunteers, and designed assessment tools to measure the impact of the programs on students' development.

Prior to that, they held two roles at Fusion Jeunesse, starting as a Program Manager from September 2018 to June 2019, where they managed and trained experiential educators and increased the organization's annual revenues. Patrick then became an Adjoint aux operation from October 2017 to September 2018, focusing on the same goals.

Patrick's experience also includes roles at The Island School as a Director and Head of Department, where they ran experiential education programs, developed curriculum and resources, and managed teams. Patrick was also an Educator at Cape Eleuthera Institute and worked as a Dive Instructor at Broadreach Inc and AQUA PLEIN AIR.

Patrick Lamontagne completed their Master of Education (MEd) in Curriculum and Instruction at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto in 2019. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in International/Global Studies from Bishop's University in 2014. Patrick also holds additional certifications such as Learning Design Thinking from LinkedIn (obtained in 2022), Risk management for outdoor programs from Viristar (obtained in October 2022), and various other certifications related to instructional design, e-learning, first aid, and emergency response.
