Ocean Ambassador at Ocean Wise

Teresa Ngan is a dedicated performer and community advocate with extensive experience across various roles. Currently a performer at Theatre Terrific, Teresa portrayed a Sun-blinded javelin thrower in the production of "Outside." As an Ocean Ambassador with Ocean Wise, Teresa worked on conservation initiatives to combat orca malnutrition and educate the public on marine ecosystem preservation. Engaging as a multi-sport athlete with the British Columbia Blind Sports and Recreation Association, Teresa excelled in swim tapping and dragon boat teams, significantly contributing to their competitive successes. Additionally, Teresa has served the community through Islamic Relief Canada, providing support to mosques and the homeless, organized presentations on Black Muslim history at Boston Islamic Seminary, and contributed to various environmental and cultural initiatives with organizations such as The Métis Nation British Columbia and North Shore Emergency Management. With a commitment to social justice, environmental stewardship, and community building, Teresa exemplifies leadership and advocacy in diverse contexts.
