Pieter Doelman

Pieter Doelman is a seasoned mining professional with extensive experience in both operational and managerial roles within the mining industry. Currently serving as Mine Manager - Open Pit at OceanaGold Corporation since January 2017, Pieter has held various positions including Technical Services and Projects Manager, Technical Services Superintendent, Principal Mining Engineer, and Senior Mining Engineer at the same company. Prior to this, Pieter worked at Solid Energy New Zealand Ltd from July 2010 to January 2017 in roles such as Team Leader North Island Projects and Project Director for Domestic Coal Projects, focusing on coal supply strategy and project delivery. Additional experience includes positions at Coffey Mining, BHP Billiton, and previous tenures at Oceana Gold and BHP Billiton, covering a range of responsibilities from production engineering to mine management and planning. Pieter holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the University of Auckland.
