Elizabeth Russotto Nugent has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Elizabeth started their career at BNP Paribas as an Associate in the Securities Industry Group, providing credit support to senior relationship managers. Elizabeth then joined Fitch Ratings as an Associate Director and progressed to Director and Senior Director in the Credit Products Group, where they were responsible for providing ratings to various financial products.
In 2004, Elizabeth joined FGIC as a Director in the Structured Finance department, where they played a significant role in advancing the company's platform in the CLO market. Elizabeth sourced, underwrote, and executed high-quality exposure while ensuring compliance with risk profile and profitability guidelines.
From 2006 to 2011, Elizabeth worked at Fitch Ratings as a Senior Director in the U.S. Structured Credit team. In this role, they led the analytical team responsible for rating and monitoring High Yield and Middle Market CLOs.
In 2015, Elizabeth joined OceanFirst Bank as a Vice President, where they served until 2019. During their tenure, they launched the portfolio credit risk management strategy for a $10 billion residential and commercial loan portfolio. Elizabeth also created an analytical framework for enhanced risk management of the bank's commercial real estate loan portfolio and developed the bank's CECL methodology.
Currently, Elizabeth holds the position of Senior Vice President at OceanFirst Bank. In this role, they manage the syndication and participation efforts for the bank's Commercial Lending business, focusing on building partnerships to distribute and source attractive financing opportunities in commercial real estate and commercial and industrial sectors.
Elizabeth Russotto Nugent earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and International Studies from the University of Richmond, where they studied from 1992 to 1996. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance at New York University, completing their studies from 1998 to 2001.
