Melissa Thomas

Melissa Thomas has a diverse work experience in various industries. Melissa started their career in 2012 as a Supervising Waitress at The Fountains, where they resolved operational and staffing issues, scheduled shifts, and trained new staff members. Melissa also managed the cash closeout for the restaurant facility.

In 2016, Melissa worked as a part-time Sales Associate before joining Wawa, Inc. in 2017 as an Inventory Accounting Intern. Their responsibilities included drafting journal entries, monitoring inventory levels, and performing monthly closing tasks to ensure accurate financial reporting.

In 2018, Melissa joined Cornerstone Bank as a Credit Analyst. In this role, they assessed the degree of risk involved in extending credit by analyzing the borrower's industry, market, and management. Melissa also completed credit approval memorandums and performed yearly evaluations and renewals.

Most recently, Melissa joined OceanFirst Bank in 2022 as a Credit Analyst. Their responsibilities include underwriting loan requests in compliance with bank standards, analyzing borrowers' creditworthiness and financial condition, and making recommendations for commercial loan requests.

Melissa Thomas completed their core curriculum classes including Financial & Managerial Accounting, Microeconomics, and Macroeconomics at Camden County Community College from 2014 to 2016, where they graduated with a Business Associate's Degree. From 2016 to 2018, they attended Stockton University and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Studies with a concentration in Finance.
