Deniz Ficicioglu has a diverse work experience, starting in 2010 as an Assistant to CEO at Allianz Life Indonesia. In 2011, Deniz became a Strategist at Nerd Communications GmbH and worked there until 2013. From 2013 to 2016, Deniz worked as an Author, Speaker, and Entrepreneur at Fructopia.de. In 2016, Deniz took on the role of Head of User Acquisition at Kitchen Stories -- AJNS New Media GmbH until October of the same year. Moving on, Deniz worked as an Innovation Manager at HERMANN'S from November 2016 to March 2018. Deniz then became a Design Sprint Facilitator at New Monday Design Sprint from October 2018 to August 2019. In June 2018, Deniz started at Grace - Accelerate Female Entrepreneurship as an Entrepreneur. In 2019, Deniz co-founded Oceanfruit, a company that develops plant-forward seaweed products. In July 2020, Deniz joined TechFounders as part of Cohort #12. Finally, in February 2020, Deniz co-founded BettaF!sh.
Deniz Ficicioglu began their education at Kingswood College in Grahamstown, South Africa, from the year 2000 to 2001. No specific degree or field of study was mentioned for this period. Wir sind Oceanfruit. Wir lieben gutes Essen und das Meer. Aber, wir wissen auch, dass heute schon ein Großteil der Fischer ihren Lebensunterhalt nicht mehr durch diese uralte Tradition bestreiten kann. Unsere Antwort? Meeresalgen aus Norwegen, die komplett ohne Land, Dünger und Süßwasser wachsen. Oceanfruit entwickelt Produkte und innovative Verarbeitungsmethoden, die die noch unbekannte Ressource der Seealgen an die Oberfläche und auf den Tisch der europäischen Konsumenten bringt. Unsere Produkte befeuern eine neue maritime Industrie und schaffen eine positive Alternativen zur Fischerei, von der alle Leben können. Unsere ersten Produkte: Vielfältige Meeresalate – drei Feinkostsalate im Glas aus europäischen Algenarten und regionalem Biogemüse. Dabei knüpfen wir an beliebte Geschmacksrichtungen an: Meeressalat Graved Style mit fruchtig-süßer Senf-Dill-Soße; Koreanischer Meeressalat mit scharfem Ingwer und viel Umami, angelehnt an den beliebten Wakamesalat; und unseren Mediterranen Meeressalat der an Sommernächte in Italien erinnert.
