Venkat Kamavaram, PhD has over 15 years of experience in materials engineering and research. From 2005 to 2007, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Alabama, where they conducted independent material research, developed funding proposals, and designed experimental protocols. From 2007 to 2008, they worked as a Research Associate at Clarkson University, where they led material research, analysis, synthesis, and testing, and optimized carbon nanotube/nanorod synthesis growth process using chemical vapor deposition (CVD). From 2008 to present, they have been a Senior Materials Engineer at Oceanit, where they manage large-scale, multidisciplinary nanotechnology research and development (R&D) projects, leading a scientific and engineering team of 5 in development of novel materials/products for advanced technical applications. Venkat also designs, analyzes, fabricates/synthesizes, and tests materials/nanomaterials for functional coatings, thermal management applications, structural composites, catalysts, and fuels.
Venkat Kamavaram obtained their PhD in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering from The University of Alabama in 2004. Prior to that, they obtained their MS in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering from The University of Alabama in 2002. Venkat also obtained their BTech in Chemical Engineering from Osmania University in 1999. Their high school education was obtained from Stella Marys High School in 1992 and Vidhyodaya High School in 1990.
