Mariko Powers

Mariko Powers is a Program Officer at Oceankind. Mariko previously worked as a Project Management Intern at Conservation International from March 2018 to July 2018, researching and producing guidance documents on project management requirements specific to large public donors. Mariko also worked as a Middlebury Social Impact Scholar from June 2017 to August 2017, conducting action research on climate change finance and adaptation in Bangladesh in conjunction with the International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD). In addition, Mariko has experience as a Thailand Program Facilitator with the CIEE Council on International Educational Exchange from July 2015 to June 2016.

Mariko Powers has a MA International Environmental Policy from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey and a Bachelor of Arts in Diplomacy and World Affairs as well as a minor in Urban and Environmental Policy from Occidental College. Mariko also has certification from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey in Frontier Market Scouts and Certification in Design, Partnering, Management & Innovation (DPMI) - Cairo, Egypt.
