Founder & CEO at Ocean's Balance

Mitchell Lench's work experience begins with their role as Member of the Board of Trustees for The Nature Conservancy, where they played a part in global conservation efforts. Mitchell then went on to found and serve as CEO of Ocean's Balance, a Maine-based seaweed company, focusing on distribution and product innovation. Prior to this, Lench was the CEO of Treetops Capital LP, an investment management company focused on solving social and environmental challenges. Mitchell has also held positions as Managing Director at both Credit Suisse First Boston and Banc of America Securities. Lench's earlier experience includes serving as the Head of Emerging Markets Structured Finance for Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa at Fitch Ratings, as well as working as a Financial Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank.

Mitchell Lench earned their Bachelor's Degree from Binghamton University, where they studied from 1983 to 1987. Mitchell later pursued a Masters of International Affairs at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), completing their studies from 1992 to 1994.
