James F. Bennett currently serves as a Member of the Board of Advisors for the American Offshore Wind Academy and as a Business Development Manager at Burns & McDonnell. Bennett is also an Industry Instructor and Subject Matter Expert for the Business Network for Offshore Wind, as well as a Member of the Board of Directors for the same organization. Additionally, Bennett has been an Industry Instructor for the Offshore Wind Skills Academy at the University of Delaware. Previously, Bennett worked for the U.S. Department of the Interior in various senior roles, including Senior Advisor and Program Manager for the Office of Renewable Energy Programs, and held positions with the National Capital Planning Commission as a Community Planner Environmental Specialist. Academically, Bennett holds a Master of Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia, a Master of Science in Computer Systems Management from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The Catholic University of America.
