Martin Pavlik, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Martin currently holds the position of Director - Europe at Oceanworks®, where they started in December 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Freelancer, specializing in innovation consulting in plastics circularity and new business development in plastic value chains.

From 2018 to 2022, Martin served in various roles at SI Group. Martin was the Sr. Director - Market Development, Plastics Solutions & Elastomers, leading a Tier 1 project focused on accelerated expansion across all business units. Martin also held the position of Global Director of Business Development, where they led the business development and technical service functions of Addivant, with a focus on market-relevant innovation, faster market introductions, and sell-up strategies.

Before their time at SI Group, Martin worked at The Dow Chemical Company for many years. Martin'sroles included EMEA Sr. Group Leader in TS&D Packaging & Specialty Plastics, EMEA Sr. Group Leader in TS&D Food & Specialty Packaging, and EMEA Group Leader in Performance Packaging TS&D, Unitization, Bags & Industrial Films. Martin was responsible for managing innovation, product development, and market implementation for various packaging applications within Dow's plastics division.

Martin began their career at Biesterfeld Group as a Product Manager in Polymer Additives. Prior to that, they worked as an R&D Specialist at the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry ASCR.

Throughout their career, Martin Pavlik, PhD has demonstrated expertise in plastics, polymers, innovation, market development, and technical service.

Martin Pavlik, PhD, earned their doctoral degree in Macromolecular Chemistry from Charles University from 1999 to 2003. Prior to that, they completed their Master's degree in Polymer Technology and Processing at the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague (UCT Prague) from 1994 to 1999. In 2008, Martin Pavlik also obtained a certification as a Six Sigma Green Belt Project Leader from Six Sigma Dow Chemical.
