David Leyva

David Leyva is a skilled professional with extensive experience in engineering and education. Between August 2018 and August 2020, David served as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, having previously worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Transaction Printhead Group from June 2011 to April 2014, where responsibilities included research, development, design, quality control, and project management of printheads. Additionally, David has held teaching roles, including Secondary Mathematics Teacher at the American Nicaraguan School from February 2017 to July 2018 and Education Coordinator for the Peace Corps, where David taught high school Physics and Math from May 2014 to July 2016. Currently, David is a Global Performance Engineer at Principle Power and has been a Naval Architect at Ocergy since January 2024. David holds a Master's degree in Ocean Engineering from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, along with degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Technology, Sydney, and the University of San Diego.
