David Coughlan

David Coughlan is an accomplished professional in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, currently serving as the Vice President of Translational Development at Ochre Bio since January 2023. Prior to this role, Coughlan held the position of Chief Technical Officer at Afimmune Ltd, managing pharmaceutical development strategy and leading a high-performing team. Coughlan’s extensive experience includes a tenure as Vice President of Technical Operations at DS Biopharma, where responsibilities encompassed the establishment of pharmaceutical and clinical development operations. Previous roles included External Program Director at Merrion Pharmaceuticals Plc, where significant technology licensing deals were accomplished, and academic contributions as a lecturer in pharmaceutics at Trinity College Dublin. Coughlan holds a PhD in Pharmaceutics, along with several postgraduate diplomas, and has a foundational degree in Pharmacy from Trinity College Dublin.
