Ochre Education
Sarah Fernandes is currently the Data and Evaluation Lead at Ochre Education, a role held since August 2023. Previously, Sarah served as the Lead for the Early Childhood Development Initiative and as a Policy Adviser at the Centre for Policy Development from July 2021 to March 2023. Sarah's experience with the NSW Department of Education spanned from September 2016 to July 2021, where positions included Senior Policy Officer and relieving Manager for National, Intergovernmental and Cross Sectoral Policy, as well as roles focusing on Disability Strategy and Early Childhood Education. Early career highlights include working as a Councillor Support Officer for the City of Sydney and various editorial roles at Arc @ UNSW. Sarah is pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil and Environmental at the University of Technology Sydney and holds a Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Creative Writing from UNSW.

Ochre is an innovative not-for-profit founded to drive educational equity and excellence through providing access to high-quality evidence-based curriculum resources made by teachers for teachers. We work with practicing Australian teachers to share their expertise in developing resources which are being accessed by teachers and students from every jurisdiction and schooling sector across Australia.
