Oconee Fall Line Technical College
Gwenett Charleston, RHIT, CPC, CPMA, COC, serves as ROI/Scanner Supervisor at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs since August 2017 and has been involved with Ross Education, LLC and Oconee Fall Line Technical College as an instructor since 2016 and 2009, respectively, teaching a wide range of courses related to health information technology and medical billing. Previous roles include online adjunct instructor at Daymar College, remote outpatient medical coder at Parallon, clinical appeals specialist at HCA, and field reviewer at Altegra. Gwenett has extensive coding experience from a decade-long tenure at HCA, focusing on developing policies for legal medical documents and managing health information systems. Education includes an Associate's Degree in Health Information Technology from Ogeechee Technical College, and additional degrees in Business Office Technology and Medical Insurance Coding from Heart of Georgia Technical College, culminating in a Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management from Macon State College.
