Lorena Ferdinand

Lorena Ferdinand has extensive work experience in the field of business analysis. Lorena is currently employed as a Senior Business Analyst at OCT Consulting LLC since October 2021. Prior to this, from 2018 to 2021, Lorena worked as a Consultant, conducting freelance work while being a caregiver for their father. During this time, they self-published a book, engaged in public speaking engagements and trainings for non-profits such as Urban League and University of Unstuck, and provided technical writing services for resume and cover letter creation.

Before their freelance work, Lorena held the position of Senior Business Analyst at Seminole Hard Rock from 2016 to 2018. Lorena was also a Senior Business Analyst at AVYON Consulting Group from 2015 to 2016. Lorena gained valuable experience as a Senior Business Analyst at Deloitte from 2013 to 2015 and at SRA, a CSRA company, from 2009 to 2012.

Their earlier roles include serving as a Special Assistant to ACIO and Director of HQ-IT Operations at the US Treasury in 2008, an Information Management Specialist at the US Treasury from June to September 2008, an Assistant Web Designer at the U.S. Department of Energy in 2007, and an Implementation Specialist at Verizon Business in 2006.

Lorena Ferdinand pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting in 2005 when they attended the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Lorena completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science in 2009.

In 2011, Lorena enrolled at Bowie State University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Management Information Systems. Their studies at Bowie State University lasted until 2014.

After a gap in their education, Lorena decided to further their knowledge in the field of Mental Health Counseling/Counselor. In 2019, they enrolled at Nova Southeastern University for a second time, pursuing a Master's degree in this field. As of now, they are still actively pursuing their studies at Nova Southeastern University.
