Lance Hambling

Lance Hambling has extensive experience in web and API development. Lance currently serves as the Head of Web and API Dev at Apolinar, where they work with technologies such as .NET Core, Angular, ASP.NET, C#, MVC, SQL Server, jQuery, Web API, Orchard CMS, EPiServer CMS, Kentico CMS, Contentful, Azure hosting, and deployment. Lance also has experience in continuous integration using Jenkins pipelines, MSBuild, Git, Octopus Deploy, and Bitbucket pipelines.

Prior to their current role, Hambling worked at Marker as the Head of Web and API Dev from 2012 until 2018. In this position, they were also responsible for different roles, including Development Process Lead and Senior Web and App Developer. At Marker, they utilized ASP.NET 4.0, C#, MVC, SQL Server, jQuery, Web API, Orchard CMS, Kentico CMS, and continuous integration.

Before joining Marker, Hambling worked as a Freelance Senior ASP.NET Web Developer at Fantasy League Ltd, where they rebuilt and converted a popular Fantasy Football site from web-forms to MVC. Lance also optimized the code base and implemented new JavaScript Web 2.0 features.

Hambling has additional freelance experience as an ASP.NET C# Web Programmer at iris Digital, Euro RSCG Skybridge, and specialmoves. Their responsibilities in these roles included working with ASP.NET 4.0, C#, MVC 3, Facebook API, Entity Framework, and backend development of luxury brand corporate websites.

Additionally, they worked as an ASP.NET Developer at Grand Union and Start Creative, as well as a Senior ASP.NET Web Developer at Redbox Digital. At these companies, they focused on ASP.NET, C#, SQL, XML, XPath, and localization.

Lance Hambling obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Waikato from 1999 to 2003, majoring in Computer Science, Physics, and Statistics. In 2006, they also achieved a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification in Web Applications.
