Jakob Karner

Jakob Karner has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Jakob started their career in 2008 as a Development Engineer at Otto Bock Healthcare Products GmbH. From 2010 to 2012, they served as an Assistant Professor at the Vienna University of Technology. In 2012, they joined Baxter International Inc. as an R&D Principal Engineer. In 2013, they became an Assistant Manager Corporate Engineering at Octapharma, and in 2015, they were promoted to Head of Global Project Management. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President Operations at Octapharma since 2024. In addition, they are the owner of their own company, JK PME e.U., which they established in 2020.

Jakob Karner earned a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Vienna University of Technology, completing their studies from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Dipl.-Ing. degree in Mechanical Engineering - Biomedical Engineering from the same institution, from 2001 to 2009. Jakob also received certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI, although specific dates of obtaining this certification are not provided.
