Alpna Wayal

Alpna Wayal has worked in the field of clinical oncology for over seven years. In 2021, they began working as a Product Owner at Octave Bioscience. From 2014 to 2021, they were a Business Clinical Analyst/Product Developer/Informaticist at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). In this role, they balanced the needs and requirements of cross-functional team members, which included external stakeholders. Prior to this, they were a Product Developer at Remedy Informatics from 2013 to 2014. In this role, they managed and developed translational bioinformatics product tools specifically in the clinical oncology space, utilizing database and software development tools and languages to implement product features and functionality throughout all phases of the product development life cycle. Alpna also acted as a bridge to translate product requirements/specifications, differentiating between customer-specific and general domain-specific needs, ensuring product features were easy and intuitive to provide an appropriate user experience.
